I’m Steven, a qualified counsellor and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Whether you’re here for yourself or looking on behalf of someone else, I hope you find this space helpful and reassuring.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, facing emotional challenges, or simply need someone to talk to, I offer a calm, grounded, and non-judgemental environment where you can speak freely and be heard.
If you’ve never tried counselling before, it’s normal to feel a bit unsure about reaching out.
Talking to someone about personal issues can feel daunting at first. As an experienced counsellor based in Blandford and online, I work hard to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and free to speak openly—without fear of judgment.
Whether you're dealing with depression, work-related stress, or seeking LGB affirmative counselling, I’m here to listen and help you move forward. You don’t have to go through it alone—feel free to call me anytime.

Depression can make it feel like things will never improve—but that’s not the case. In our sessions, we’ll explore your thoughts and feelings with compassion and curiosity, helping you understand your experience and gradually shift how you see yourself and the world around you.
Grief doesn’t follow a straight path. You might feel okay one day and overwhelmed the next—and that’s completely normal. I offer a space where you can express whatever you’re feeling, whether it’s sadness, anger, numbness, or confusion. Together, we’ll explore these emotions in a way that supports your healing.
Even those who seem confident on the outside can struggle with self-worth. If you often feel “not good enough,” or rely on achievements or others’ approval to feel valued, counselling can help. We’ll work together to rebuild your confidence and reconnect with your true sense of self.
Exploring your sexuality can be deeply personal—and sometimes challenging. I offer a compassionate, affirming space for individuals navigating LGB-related issues, including family conflict, fear of rejection, workplace discrimination, or uncertainty about identity. You are welcome to bring whatever you’re facing, and we’ll work through it together.
People come to me for help with a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through counselling:
Stress
Trauma
Depression
Relationship problems
Problems with confidence or self-esteem
AIDS/HIV
Anxiety
Problems with addiction
Sexuality
Post-traumatic stress
Grief, loss or bereavement
Work or retirement
Abuse
Family or school life
Counselling offers a safe, confidential space where you can talk openly about what’s troubling you. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or something else, our sessions give you the opportunity to explore what’s going on beneath the surface and work towards a way forward that feels right for you.
Counselling can help with a wide range of issues—such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship or family difficulties, low self-esteem, or past experiences that still affect you. Even if you’re unsure, talking things through with a counsellor can bring clarity and relief. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit.
