ABOUT ME

Hello

I’m Steven Eveleigh, a qualified counsellor and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Whether you’re here for yourself or looking on behalf of someone else, I hope you find this space helpful and reassuring.

Starting counselling can feel like a big step—I understand that from personal experience. You might be wondering if it’s the right path for you. My role is to offer a safe, confidential space where you can talk freely about whatever’s on your mind. I’ll listen without judgment and help you explore, understand, and make sense of what you’re going through.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in IT support within the finance sector. While I enjoyed helping people, I eventually realised that I wanted to make a deeper, more meaningful impact. That led me to begin my counselling training in 2012, and I qualified in 2016.

Since then, I’ve worked with clients from all walks of life—at Carlton Academy, Poole Therapies and Associates, and now through my own private practice. I continue to support individuals both in-person in Blandford and online.

Like many others, I’ve faced my own life challenges, including bereavement and coming to terms with my sexuality. These experiences have shaped my understanding and deepened my empathy for others.
